Elgato Stream Deck

Streamer Gift Idea Stream Deck

If your streamer doesn't have a stream deck this is the perfect gift that you can get them. This device allows streamers to press a single button and easily make changes to their stream. Each button can be customized to adjust volume, change scenes, activate sound effects, mute the microphone, pause a song, and more. The Elgato stream deck makes the perfect gift, because it's one of those items that a streamer doesn't have to have, but it is so convenient when you do.

The Elgato Stream decks comes in two options. The first is a 15 button stream deck (this is what I personally own), and the second is a larger 32 button deck (See 32-button stream deck on Amazon). Both options are great, but if it's in your budget I haven't met a streamer who would say no to the 32 button stream deck.

The beauty of this device is not only its functionality, but the fact that you can also customize what's on the button screens. For example, you can see a screenshot of my own stream deck below. I labeled different buttons with various text and icons so that I can know exactly what each button does. I have seen other stream decks that are practically pieces of art with their creative, custom designed buttons.

If you're looking for a great streamer gift example you're looking at it.

El Gato Stream Deck

Ember Temperature Control Smart Mug

Coffee cup for streamers

Does your streamer enjoy coffee, tea, or other hot drinks? The Ember smart mug is a temperature controlled mug that will keep your drink at the exact temperature that you want. It's able to maintain a temperature for 80 minutes, or even all day if it's paired with the charging coaster. This is a great gift for streamers who spend hours at their computer streaming. They'll no longer need to worry about their drink getting cold as the Ember can keep it nice and hot for as long as they'd like.

It's safe to hand wash and is controlled via smart phone. This coffee mug for streamers also comes in different sizes and colors. While I'm personally a fan of the flat black color - there's also the option of red, white, metallic, and grey.

This is a great gift idea for someone who streams for long hours and enjoys a cup of coffee or tea at just the right temperature. Whether they're just chatting with their viewers or playing the latest Call of Duty title - this mug will keep their drink at the perfect temp.

Custom Neon Sign

streamer neon sign present

Looking for a special gift that's customized for your streamer? Go above and beyond by presenting them with a custom neon sign for their stream room. Pick out lighting that fits their style and have a custom sign made with their streaming name on it. This is a great way for them to spruce up their stream area and make it unique for them. Plus, this is just an all around fun gift.

If you spend time watching streamers on YouTube or Twitch you'll notice that many streamers show off their "streaming area" with plants, lights, and other items that fit their vibe. Some of them also hang up a custom neon sign on their wall to highlight their stream name. Any streamer would love to have their own personal sign. With this neon LED light sign you decide between size, colors, and whether it should have their stream tag name or include a logo.

Elgato Facecam

webcam gift for twitch streamer

Elgato has released a new webcam that's a high quality option for Twitch and YouTube streamers who want quality, but aren't ready to purchase a more expensive DSLR camera. This camera allows for 1080/60 fps video which basically means it'll produce quality video in essence making the face of the streamer look sharp!

This camera attaches to the PC monitor and connects to the computer via USB 3.0. It comes with software called "Camera Hub" which allows the user to easily adjust the camera's settings in terms of coloring, contrast, etc. The sesnor on the Elgato Facecam is a Sony STARVIS sensor which allows the camera to reduce the "noise" and grain when using it in a low-light environment. This webcam will work on Mac or PC, and can be configured to work with OBS, Streamlabs, Streamelements, and other popular broadcasting software.

If you're getting this as a gift for a new streamer - this is an excellent webcam option. Elgato produces many products for streamers and so the user can be sure they'll find support if any needed for this product.

If you're looking for a less-expensive webcam option for a streamer - I'd suggest the Logitech C922x (view on Amazon). It's the webcam that I personally use for my solo streams. It's simple to setup and delivers good quality for the price. With the Logitech C922x I would recommend that the streamer have proper lighting as it the quality will suffer if you use it it a room with low light. With this said - it's a solid webcam that gets the job done. I've had no problems with it, and continue to use it.

Branded Emotes

animated emotes for streamers

If you're looking for a gift that's branded for a streamer's channel you could always get them custom emotes. With this said - you might want to consult with the streamer beforehand. Branded emotes should be in the style and vibe of the stream. Streamers on Twitch and YouTube only have so many slots for emotes and you wouldn't want to gift them emotes that they don't like. This can be an incredible gift for a streamer, but I HIGHLY recommend that you talk with them before you purchase emotes for them. I'm sure they'd love to give guidance on the types of emotes that they would want for their channel.

With this said - you can hire an emote maker on Fiverr to create completely original emotes to fit the streamer's channel or you can purchase an emote package from Own3d. Choose between animated or non-animated emotes. Emotes are a great way for a streamer's chat to engage and interact with the streamer. The best emotes express an emotion. If you watch streams you'll notice popular emotes like KEKW being used in funny moments or MonkaW during an intense moment.

Green Screen

green screen as gift

Every streamer has a unique style and vision for their content. Some use facecams to display their face, while others decide to forgo a webcam. You'll see streamers bumping tunes while they stream while others choose not to play music. There's no right or wrong way to stream, and the beauty of streaming is seeing the diversity of content. I bring this up, because not every streamer utilizes or wants a green screen.

A green screen allows the streamer to hide the background of the room they're in. It allows the streamer to have only the content they want be their backdrop. A popular streamer by the name of DrDisrespect utilizes a green screen. Which then allows him to place himself in a variety of scenes. You can see him in the image below standing in a futuristic plane hanger. This wouldn't be possible without a green screen.

dr disrespect using a green screen

I can recommend two different green screens that I have personally used in my streaming journey. The first is the Elgato Collapsible Green Screen (view on Amazon). This green screen is convenient in the sense that you can pull it up or down when it's in use. It's large enough to block your background fully. It's made of solid material, and with proper lighting you'll easily be able to tweak your broadcasting software to produce the green screen effect that you're looking for. The one downside of this green screen is the size. Even when it's collapsed it takes a larger amount of space to store. With this said - if you're looking for a professional green screen setup you will run into this same issue with other similar products.

If the streamer you're gifting to has the space - I would recommend the Elgato Collapsible Green Screen (Amazon).

The second option is the Webaround Green Screen which you can read more about on my streaming tools page. The webaround fits on the streamer's chair and is smaller in size than Elgato's green screen. It's slightly easier to store than the Elgato green screen. I used the Webaround for a little over a year, and found it helpful. Eventually I ended up changing to the Elgato because a new desk setup didn't allow it to fit on my chair properly. I was also having issues with lighting it properly which resulted in a mediocre quality results.

Jelly Belly Bean Boozled Jelly Beans Game

bean boozled for streamers

Part of being a streamer is creating engaging, fun content for the viewers. One of the ways that streamers did this was by eating these wacky flavored Jelly Belly Beans. Whether it was during a subathon, losing a prediction, or just for fun many streamers ate these candies to give a reaction to their audience. With flavors like "Old Bandage", "Cappuccino", and "Liver & Onions" you'll never quite know what flavor you'll be getting. These make for hilarious streaming content as long as the person has a strong stomach.

Another fun option in this vein is gifting them one of the Hot Sauces used by the famous YouTube channel Hot Ones! I did a popular stream in which my friend and I tasted the current season of Hot Ones sauces on Twitch. Viewers watched us eat 10 wings that got exponentially more hot. It was a lot of fun and made great content. If you'd like to give this idea and gift your streamer one of these sauces you can use this link to recieve $10 off a Hot Ones sauce purchase of $40 or more. Click here for Hot Ones Discount Link.

SCUF Gaming Controller

SCUF gaming controller

SCUF makes some of the coolest controllers on the market. With custom styles and designs, these are not your basic Xbox or Playstation controller. These controllers are built for gamers first and foremost with high quality materials. Each controller is crafted to fit into a person's hands comfortably, and has specific features to make gaming easier. If your streamer is primarily into streaming video game content you should look into gifting them one of these controllers.

Shure SM7B Microphone

Shure SM7b Microphone

The Shure SM7B microphone (Amazon) is a professional quality microphone that delivers smooth, high quality vocals consistently. It's made to enhance and capture the details of each streamer's unique voice. It's no wonder that top streamers such as Shroud and Sodapoppin have this as part of their streaming setup. Hook your streamer up with the gift of a top vocal quality audio microphone.

If you're looking for a solid microphone at a budget friendly price. I would recommend the Blue Yeti (view on Amazon). The Blue Yeti is one of the best selling microphones for streamers, podcasters, and gamers because it's a great bang for your buck. It delivers good vocal audio, and with the proper settings can produce excellent vocal quality. I use this microphone for one of my streaming setups as have used it for streaming and creating YouTube content as well.

Gift Cards

While it might not be the most exciting gift to give someone it doesn't make it a bad gift! Gift cards are a great way to let a streamer get someone that they'll certainly enjoy and need. Gift cards to Amazon, Twitch, or Steam are all great options. Streamers always have something on the horizon that they'd like to buy. Whether it's a new video game, a PC equipment upgrade, or perhaps something for content - I'm sure they'll be able to find something to use a gift card for. With a Twitch Gift Card they can use it to subbing to their favorite content creator, purchasing Twitch Turbo for ad-free viewing, or even gifting bits to their favorite streamer.

GoXLR Mixer

Goxlr mixer

Can I be honest with you? I want this so bad. This is the GoXLR audio mixer. It allows a streamer to easily control their audio from a single device. Need your music to be louder? Move the fader up. Is the streamer's voice overpowering the game audio? Move the fader down. This device is any streamer's dream. It also allows the user to quickly alter their sound to perfection. In addition it comes with voice effects such as reverb, echo, megaphone, robot, and more.

As a streamer we're all trying to polish the production of our content and deliver the best content possible. This tiny board doesn't look like much, but when it comes to producing quality audio easily...it helps tremendously. The GoXLR also includes a sampler which allows the user to quickly record audio and reuse it quickly which can make for some entertaining content. View the GoXLR Mixer on Amazon.

Logitech G Pro Wireless Gaming Mouse

computer mouse as a gift

If the streamer that you want to give a gift to is a gamer than they'll appreciate the Logitech G Pro Wireless Gaming mouse. This is a lightweight, wireless mouse used by some of the top competitive gamers use. It's also used bysome of the most popular streamers. It's even part of Nickmercs PC setup.

This mouse prioritizes gaming. It has fewer buttons than other mice, because it's goal is speed. Weighing in at 2.88 ounces it allows the gamer to move smoothly and quickly. Any streamer who's content is primarily video games would love to own this mouse.

Elgato Capture Card

Elgato Capture Card

A capture card is a vital component to anyone who is planning to stream video games from a gaming console device. The capture card is a device that converts the output from a gaming system into a format that can then be streamed onto the internet. Anyone who wants to stream games from their Playstation, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch will need to have a capture card if they want to show more than just gameplay. Many of these systems have applications that will allow them to stream only their gameplay to different streaming platforms. But if they're wanting to add music, have unique scenes, include their logo, or use a Webcam they'll need a capture card.

The Elgato capture card is simple to setup, a true plug and play device that will capture and convert gameplay into 1080p 60FPS quality. The user will need either a computer (Mac/PC compatible) to complete their setup, and so this device isn't a standalone piece of equipment. Make sure to view the PC requirements to ensure that the computer being used will be able to handle the capture card.

ASTRO Gaming A50 Wireless Headset

Astro Gaming Wireless Headset

The ASTRO Gaming A50 Wireless Headset is clean, sharp, and performs incredibly. This is a great headset for streaming. It utilizes Astro Audio V2 technology that provides an immersive sound experience without any delay. This headset includes Dolby Audio so that whether it's video games, music, or sounds from the stream the user will have crisp audio. As a gamer they'll allow you to pinpoint exactly where particular noises are coming from.

One of the best parts is that this headset is completely wireless allowing the streamer to move around without fear of getting tangled up in wires. With a lithium-ion battery it can keep the headset and its complete features powered for up to 15 hours. Unless you're planning a 24-hour stream, 15 hours is more than enough time for a solid stream. Some of the other cool features it includes is being able to set the headset on its dock to begin charging it. It also includes a microphone on it that can be used. To mute or un-mute the microphone all you need to do is move the microphone upward and it will automatically mute itself.

There's versions that are compatible with Xbox, Playstation, or PC. You can view the Astro Gaming A50 Headset on Amazon.

If you're looking for a budget friendly headset for streaming check out the Logitech G432 Wired Gaming Headset on Amazon. I used this microphone for streaming, but also for gaming for years. It comes in a cool blue and black colored style. While it is wired - it has an extra long cord to let you move about. It provides solid quality audio, and the microphone isn't too shabby either. I loved this headset so much that even when I sat and broke my first pair, I went out and bought a second pair. A solid headset to gift to a streamer if you're looking for something under $50.

Corsair K70 RGB MK.2 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

Corsair Keyboard streamer gift

A new gaming keyboard such as the Corsair K70 would make a great choice as a gift for a streamer. This is leading keyboard used by many professional streamers. This is a high-end keyboard that hones in on performance and a beautiful aesthetic. You'll notice that is has a complete RGB backlighting that can be customized. It also includes a media wheel and USB pass-through connector that allows the user to connect devices via USB through the computer rather than the computer itself.

This keyboard is also quiet so you won't hear the clicking and clacking of the keys as the streamer uses it. In addition - it has an insanely fast reaction rate of 1ms allowing it to be used in competitive gaming situations. If you're looking for a durable, beautiful keyboard for a streamer - this would be a great choice.

Twitch Merch

Twitch T-Shirt and Merchandise

If they're a streamer on Twitch - then you can always get them various Twitch related merchandise. There's a variety of shirts, sweaters, sweatpants, and accessories that are branded for Twitch. There's Twitch branded pillows, plushies, mugs, mouse pads, and even various products for dogs. Personally I have the black t-shirt with the Twitch logo on it. As a Twitch streamer I wanted some type of merch to represent the company, and being that I like black T-shirts it fit me perfectly.

You'll also be able to find socks, hats, keychains, stickers, magnets, beanies, a Twitch-branded Jenga set, backpacks, duffel bags, and other unique items.

Check out the Twitch store on Amazon.

Books To Help Them Grow

creativity inc

I have always loved reading since I was a child. Books were an outlet to dive into fantastical lands, explore new topics, and open up my mind. I haven't stopped reading as an adult, and have no plans on stopping. Books have also helped me as a streamer grow my channel. While I have yet to read a book that is explicitly titled "How To Grow as a Streamer" I have read many books that have helped me grow as an entertainer, a creator, and community builder. I put together a list of books that I believe can help streamers hone in the skills that can help a streamer grow.

You can explore my entire list of books that I recommend streamers read HERE.

Lights for Streaming

stream lights

One of the misunderstandings that many streamers have is that all a solid camera is guaranteed to give you pristine quality footage. The reality is that you can have an incredible camera to show your beautiful face on stream, but without proper lighting it will not be the best quality. Every streamer should have at least one (if not more) lights. Proper lighting can make even a mediocre webcam seem incredible. Many cameras will not put out great quality footage in low light which is why having a key light is important.

There's a variety of solid key lights out there, but ElGato (view on Amazon) puts out a standard working key light that's easy to use and will provide more than enough light to let your camera do its thing. This professional light puts out 28000 lumens and comes with a desk clamp to help secure it in a proper lighting positions. Streamers will be able to adjust the color temperature and brightness by an application. Again this is only needed if they're using a facecam, but if they are this could make a great holiday gift for the streamer in your life.

Other Ideas for Streamers

I hope this list of gift ideas for streamers was helpful for you! Streaming is a fun and exciting hobby for many, but it's not the cheapest hobby. Whether it's a gift of streaming equipment, coffee mug, or custom emotes I am sure your streamer will be thankful to have you in their life. Spend some time watching their content and you might learn exactly what's missing in their content that you can gift them. If you've got another great gift idea for a streamer please send me a DM on Twitter and I can add it to this list.
